The next Road Safety Plan will comprise a framework through a multi-cell matrix of key target groups and key highway safety issues, along with a variety of road safety strategies that jurisdictions may adopt to address their specific priorities. Core to the new Plan will be a framework of best practices created and maintained by CCMTA.
The Oversight Committee provides functional direction to the Task Force. It functions as the decision body and provides recommendations to the CCMTA Board of Directors. It acts as a liaison with ERSC and PPSC. It includes 5 members of the Board of Directors, the chairs of the Standing Committees (RSRP, D&V, CRA), representatives from ERSC (Engineering and Research Support Committee), PPSC (Policy and Planning Support Committee), CACP (Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police) and the Road Safety Vision Task Force co-chairs.
