Associate Membership Program

Participate and stay informed on key CCMTA activities.

Associate Membership aims towards better cooperation, consultation and openness with CCMTA stakeholders.

Organizations from Canada and the U.S. have become CCMTA Associate Members, representing national and provincial associations, individual companies, law enforcement, health and safety organizations, government departments and educational organizations.


Why should your organization become an associate member?

Network with senior government decision makers from Canada and the U.S. and other key individuals in road safety, drivers, vehicles, and motor carriers.
Stay informed and participate in policy development on critical road safety issues.
Maintain awareness and stay informed on key CCMTA activities as they develop.
Stay informed on both current and new CCMTA programs.

What type of organizations should join?

Companies who wish to market products and services to CCMTA members and take advantage of early receipt of information.
Organizations who would like to exhibit with CCMTA.
Provincial/territorial and national transportation organizations and associations who are directly influenced by the policies and actions of CCMTA.
Other government bodies and departments which are interested in laws and regulations governing:
    - the transportation of passengers and goods
    - the licensing of drivers and vehicles
    - the registration, licensing and mechanical fitness of motor vehicles
    - highway safety practices and procedures, programs and research
    - commercial transportation enforcement.

Associate membership benefits - what it includes

Annual nominal fee of $442.17 (2012 rate)

Associate membership is designed for those organizations who wish to be kept informed on key CCMTA activities and receive the following:

  • Notices of meetings
    CCMTA produces a formal "Notice of Meeting" approximately 8 weeks prior to a meeting, detailing the location, time, dates and a tentative agenda.

  • Records of decisions
    The records of decisions are the official documents produced from each standing committee meeting documenting the task force and project group reports, committee decisions and related actions.
  • Business Intelligence
    CCMTA is frequently the depository for key information relating to current road safety related programs and projects.

Other benefits include:

  • Complimentary CD-ROM of the CCMTA Directory provides the names, addresses, telephone/fax numbers and e-mail addresses of CCMTA members.

  • Discounts on registration to the CCMTA Annual Meeting. This is a unique event and the only forum in Canada bringing together key people from government and industry on issues relating to road safety, drivers, vehicles and motor carriers. Members receive a 20% discount on registration fees for all delegates from their organization, as well as a 30% discount on exhibition fees.

  • Discounts of up to 25% on CCMTA publications, including the National Safety Code (NSC) for Motor Carriers, the Commercial Vehicle Inspections in Canada manual and the Cargo Securement Training Program Manuals, among others.

  • Complimentary copies of CCMTA News, published twice a year in English and French. The CCMTA News provides an overview of current projects and activities. Members wishing to place an insert in CCMTA News advertising a product, service or upcoming event receive a 30% discount.
