Associates Program

Associates Program

Shape the road safety agenda. The CCMTA Associates Program connects industry leaders, researchers, and organizations with the government members who set Canada's motor transport policy — through structured collaboration, not just networking. Join a community that moves road safety forward.

As a CCMTA Associate, your organization gains a recognized place within Canada's national road safety ecosystem. You'll receive direct access to CCMTA initiatives, early visibility into emerging issues, and by-invitation opportunities to contribute your expertise where it matters most — at the committee level, alongside government decision-makers. This is purposeful engagement, designed around your sector's role and scaled to your organization's level of commitment.

Who Should Join?

The CCMTA Associates Program is open to organizations whose work intersects with road safety, motor transport administration, and the policies that govern them. If your organization has a vested interest in how Canada moves people and goods safely, there is a place for you here.

Individual & Independent Professionals Consultants: Subject matter experts, retired public sector professionals, and sole proprietors who contribute specialized knowledge to the road safety and motor transport field.

Academic & Research Institutions Universities: Colleges, research centres, and institutes conducting work in transportation safety, public policy, driver behaviour, vehicle technology, or related disciplines.

Non-Profit Organizations & Associations: National and provincial/territorial associations, advocacy groups, safety councils, and non-profits that support transportation safety, public education, or policy development — including law enforcement associations and health and safety organizations.

Private Sector Organizations: Companies providing products, services, or expertise that contribute to road safety and motor transport administration, including but not limited to:

  • Technology and data analytics firms, including those working in mobile Driver's Licence (mDL) and digital identity
  • Vehicle manufacturers and equipment providers
  • Insurance companies and risk management firms
  • Consulting and professional services firms
  • Commercial transportation and fleet operators
  • Ignition interlock and compliance service providers
  • Driver licensing and vehicle registration solution providers

Municipalities/Government and Government Departments Government bodies: Federal, provincial/territorial, and federal agencies — with an interest in laws and regulations governing the transportation of passengers and goods, the licensing of drivers and vehicles, the registration and mechanical fitness of motor vehicles, highway safety practices and research, and commercial transportation enforcement.
