Introducing our staff team

Have you ever considered what happens behind the scenes at CCMTA’s Ottawa head office? As you can imagine, there are many moving parts, from administration, IT, events, communications, and programming subject matter experts all working together.

While our roles are varied, we all help drive collaborative leadership in addressing Canadian road safety priorities and members’ digital services.

Linda McAusland
President and Chief Executive Officer
Linda serves as the highest-ranking executive in the organization, responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving operational excellence, and achieving the company’s short-term and long-term objectives. The CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors and oversees all aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring alignment with its mission, vision, and values.

Programs and Research

Gary Graham
Senior Director, Road Safety Programs and Research
Gary leads the Programs and Research side of the organization providing leadership to five Programs Managers and a Project Coordinator. Gary’s team collaboratively supports their respective Program Committees comprised of transportation and highway safety professionals, coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Omar Ayyash
Programs Manager
Omar is charged with supporting one of the organization’s newest Program Committees, Data and Technology Services (DTS) to help develop a data strategy for CCMTA, provide guidance for key data files and identify emerging data and technology needs that support road safety initiatives. 

Katherine Clark (contract)
Programs Manager
Katherine’s experience supports the Road Safety Research and Policies (RSRP) Program Committee with coordinating and conducting research on contributing factors to serious injuries and fatalities and supporting the goals of Canada’s Road Safety Strategy.

Sarah Gauen
Programs Manager
Sarah’s purview in supporting the Driver Programs & Standards (DP&S) Program Committee includes governance of the Canadian Driver’s License Agreement (CDLA), support to the Driver Fitness Overview Group (DFOG), and oversight for National Safety Code (NSC) standards within the Committee’s scope.

Karen Hawkins
Project Coordinator
Karen provides a myriad of administrative and logistical support to the Programs and Research team, including coordinating the member’s SharePoint experience.

Mariline Jean Louis
Programs Manager
Mariline’s experience supports the Carrier Safety Standards and Compliance (CSSC) Program Committee’s scope including commercial vehicles, drivers, and carrier operations in Canada and internationally, oversight for appropriate NSC Standards, and providing guidance to Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Region V. 

Samantha Peek
Programs Manager
Samantha supports one of CCMTA’s newest Program Committees, Vehicle Strategy and Safety Initiatives (VSSI) through program management of member meetings of those who provide leadership in vehicle safety and compliance initiatives in Canada.

Operations and Data Administration

Martin Rochon
Senior Director, Executive Operations
Martin manages the executive administration of the President & CEO and the Board of Directors, provides finance and HR leadership, while supervising the four-person Operations and Data Administration team.

Annaliese Cassidy
Program Administrator
Annaliese is responsible for the planning, execution, day-to-day, and overall management of the SharePoint and Customer Relationship Management systems at CCMTA, assuring aligned with organizational goals, operating within budget, and achieving desired outcomes.

Margo Hébert
Manager, Internal Communications and Education
Margo supports the needs of the membership through creative and design development, brand management, social media, communications strategies, and bringing the CCMTA communications plan to life.

Catherine O'Shaughnessy
Manager, Data Administration and Compliance
Catherine supports third party client data administration and compliance by monitoring third-party data, coordinating compliance reviews, performing audits, maintaining agreements, and working with clients to uphold privacy and data protection obligations.

Events and Member Services

Patricia Simpson
Director, External Engagement and Events
Patricia oversees the Events and Member Services team of three and provides leadership to the organization’s member engagement, events, awards, and member services functions. Patricia’s team upholds customer excellence for all CCMTA events and engagement opportunities.

Avery Guibord
Coordinator, Meeting and Events
Avery provides end‑to‑end coordination for CCMTA’s meetings and events, while also supporting external conference participation. He contributes to translation quality controls and office services to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Nina Khatib
Manager, Events and Member Services
Nina supports the organization’s mission by planning, executing, and enhancing a variety of events, including logistics, process improvements, administration, communications and marketing services for the Annual and Fall Meetings.

Linda Levesque
Coordinator, Administration and Web
Linda provides support to the team with behind-the-scenes administration, enrollment functions for the CCMTA’s meetings, graphic design, and upkeeping the organization’s digital platforms.

Technology Services

Sylvain Larocque
Director, IT
Sylvain leads the Technology Services team responsible for the development, operations, and security of CCMTA's digital platforms, including the Interprovincial Record Exchange (IRE). He oversees the team's cloud infrastructure, manages technical relationships with jurisdictions, and drives platform modernization.

Marc Buckner
Development Team Lead
Marc leads the development team in building and maintaining the software that powers the IRE network. He ensures platform stability, code quality, and oversees the IRE 3.0 modernization initiative.

Philip Cheng
Senior Business Analyst
Phil manages the day-to-day operations of the IRE's business applications, coordinates testing with member jurisdictions, and serves as a key point of contact for third-party clients and production data issues.

Fe Esguerra
Analyst, Cloud Network and Security
Fe manages CCMTA's security across its cloud and on-premise environments, including device protection, user access controls, data loss prevention, and network security.

Mathieu Laflèche
Platform Engineer
Mathieu develops and maintains core components of the IRE platform, manages automated deployment processes, and supports system upgrades and cloud cost optimization.

Andrea Pantoja
Administrative Assistant
Andrea supports IRE operations through recall processing and third party client administration. She maintains organizational records and is currently leading a project to digitize CCMTA's legacy paper archives.
